Unfortunately, this does not work. Yes, the step-by-step asks for total basis (and actually, prefills it from last year if nothing has changed). And, yes, it does ask for Total Value of ALL your IRAs, BUT it will not let me enter a number - the field seems to be frozen.
The only fix I can figure out is to go into the forms and enter the numbers directly into the form 8606. This does not give me a lot of confidence that everything is being done correctly - and not why I bought Turbotax.
TurboTax has totally butchered the entry of Traditional IRA distributions when you have multiple accounts, QCDs, rollover to Roth, and if you take your total RMD out of only one account.
I might continue using TurboTax since I have used it for years, but for a new user looking for good software, I would not recommend TurboTax.
