Massachusetts tax return - Schedule X worksheet
In 2025, I did a Roth conversion of $136,246, I received taxable distributions from traditional IRAs of $162,751, and I took a $50,000 qualified distribution from my Roth IRA. When preparing my Massachusetts tax return, TurboTax populated line A of the Schedule X worksheet (Total IRA/Keogh plan distributions, qualified charitable IRA distribution and Roth IRA conversion distributions received during 2025 from Federal return) with $348,997. I was expecting to see $298,997. Why is TurboTax including a qualified distribution from my Roth IRA as a taxable IRA distribution on my Massachusetts tax return? If there is not a bug with TurboTax, what am I missing/overlooking?
