If this doesn't work.

  1. On the left-hand menu, click Tax Tools and then Tools.
  2. In the pop-up window, select Delete a form.
  3. Look for these specific forms and click Delete next to them:
  • IRA Contributions Worksheet (This is usually .
  • Form 8606 (Nondeductible IRAs).
  • IRA Explanation Statement (If you were doing a recharacterization).

Once deleted, click Done at the bottom and Restart your computer/browser. This clears the "cache" that often holds onto dead data.

For TurboTax Desktop (Windows/Mac):

  • Click the Forms icon in the top right corner.
  • In the list on the left, find the IRA Contributions Worksheet.
  • Highlight it, then click the Delete Form button at the very bottom of the screen.
  • Repeat for Form 8606 if it exists.
  • Switch back to Step-by-Step mode.

If none of these options work, you may wish to clear and start over, but only at a last resort.
