Retirement tax questions
I rolled over my pretax 401k to my Roth IRA during 2025. When I received my 1099R, it shows the full amount in box 1 Gross Distribution, $0 in box 2 Taxable Amount, code G in box 7 Distribution Code, and nothing else.
In the TurboTax interview, I clicked "Yes" on the page "Did you move the money to a Roth IRA?"
Because the money was rolled over to a Roth IRA, the full amount should be taxable. However, TurboTax is treating it as nontaxable. I tried deleting and reloading the 1099R, but that didn't resolve the issue.
