Retirement tax questions
The "Forms" view would say the Form 8915-F (Not Done) exists, but then the step-by-step approach would say, "unfortunately, we do not support qualified disaster distributions taken in 2021. Please see Form 8915-F at irs.gov." So maybe there is a miscommunication within the software? Please have it fixed. TY24 Form 8915-F can certainly handle 2021 disasters distributions. Thanks.
To be more specific, Per TY24 Form 8915-F form instructions,
What Is a Qualified Disaster Distribution?
The distributions that are qualified disaster distributions for tax years 2021 or later follow.
For 2021, qualified disaster distributions are:
• The qualified 2019 disaster distributions for the Puerto Rico Earthquakes (DR-4473-PR) reported on 2021 Form 8915-D,
• The qualified 2020 disaster distributions for qualified 2020 disasters reported on 2021 Form 8915-F (2020 disasters), and
• The qualified 2021 disaster distributions for qualified 2021 disasters reported on 2021 Form 8915-F (2021 disasters).
Right now, it seems it can't handle the last two bullet points. This is not to mention it won't print or become part of the pdf. Thanks,
