Retirement tax questions
What it looks like is happining is, the program is trying to apply the excess Roth contribution to the follwing year. for 2023 , I had enough income to contribute only $158 to my Roth....but I did not decide to do that...
Like I said previously on my compleated 2024 tax return ,form 5329 Line 18 = $542.
And if you add $158+$542 it equals the $700. ( my excess contribution for 2022)
I totally removed the $700 in Nov. 2024 ... I am not an expert , & its a bit tough for me to cut through this,
but It looks like I need to amend 2024, ..
& on form 5329 ,the removal forwards to Line 18 , equaling: $700 & Line 24 should be at 0.
What do you think. & Thank you again.
