Box 7 on the 1099-R is coded for '4' for Death. Turbo Tax is requiring I answer if the distribution is from a 403b plan and then, regardless of answer, they ask the RMD that was due at the end of last year. I have looked at the original paperwork sent to me after her death and this information is not on there.
