Do I report 1095A on my tax for my situation?
Here's my situation:
- My parents lived with me for 4 months (Jan-April) in 2024 where I fully supported them.
- They moved out of the country after ward and on their own.
- During that 4 months, they have insurance through the marketplace. But only my parents are covered there. My own family is covered through my work health insurance.
- My mom passed away in 2024.
Based on my situation above, my understanding is that they're not qualified as my dependent for 2024. So I'm not sure what I need to do with the 1095-A. Do I still report the form on my tax? If so, do I need to do anything different since they're not my dependent?
