I have completed my MIL final tax return but perplexed on how to handle the RMD section. She passed in March 2024, and the RMD that was required for 2024 was paid by the individual beneficiaries and entered on their own tax return. Do I need to fill out a 5329 explaining that RMD was indeed taken by beneficiaries?
