Retirement tax questions
At age 60, you can withdraw money from your Roth IRA without any penalties and taxes, as long as your account has been open for at least five years
- There is no limit on how much you can withdraw, and you can take out all of your money if you wish
- No penalties: Since you are over 59½, you won't face any early withdrawal penalties
- No taxes: If your Roth IRA has been open for at least five years, your withdrawals will be tax-free.
For more detailed information, you can check out the Charles Schwab and Fidelity pages on Roth IRA withdrawal rules.
