Twitter Securities litigation Payment for stocks held in IRA account.
I have Twitter Securities litigation payment of about 2k for stocks I held in my IRA account that I already sold several years ago for a small profit. I did not get 1099-R and federal ID number of payer. I was told that the tax situation varies depending individuals situation. How do I enter it into 1099-R? how to find what to enter in different boxes? specifically in Box 2a Capital gain, should I enter the full amount there?
