Retirement tax questions
Yes, this is the place to get assistance without a phone call. My advice would be to delete the 1099-NEC, all of them, using the steps for the TurboTax.
You'll need to delete this form 1099-NEC.
- If you're using TurboTax Online software and need to delete a form, click here.
- If you're using TurboTax Desktop software and need to delete a form, click here.
Next, enter the self employment income from your 1099-NEC directly into your business section.
- Open your TurboTax return > Search (upper right) > type Schedule C > Click the Jump to.. link or in the FAQ beneath it click 'See More' and click on Schedule C
- Edit > Scroll to Income > Edit > Select Other self-employed income including cash, checks, etc. > enter your income from the 1099-NEC. Keep this form in your tax records.
This should allow you to proceed to complete your tax return.
