Retirement tax questions

I have the same problem with values D4 in box 7 from an inherited non-qualified annuity. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Intuit on 3/10. My question is, what if the problem isn’t fixed?  How would I submit my taxes short of removing the 1099 and then amending my return at a later date, which would be a pain as well as incur penalties on taxes due. Considering the time I’ve spent on this problem, I am going to ask Intuit for a refund (full or partial ).
