Retirement tax questions

I’m using desktop TurboTax premier.

I checked again this morning and still do not get the page to enter spouse ‘did you miss…’

All received 1099Rs have been entered (both primary and spouse), just the $0 withdrawal, with no 1099R, can’t be entered.

Total RMD required for the year (calculated from both IRAs) was taken from one IRA account, $0 from the other, so no 1099R was received for the 2nd IRA (vgd). Total 2024 RMD tax obligation was met. But is not reflected in the data TurboTax has.

i tried entering a fake number in my husbands ‘did you miss’ form, then found the form it showed up in, 5329T - thinking I could change the info on the form to be spouse/mine, but that didn’t work. (his is the primary tax id, I’m the spouse who always does the taxes)

I know Vanguard will be sending their RMD info to the IRS, which will seem to show I didn’t do the withdrawal, but the total withdrawn on my part of our tax filing will be correct, so maybe it’ll be ok —- but I’d sure hate to get flagged for this.

I have changed RMD withdrawals to be from both accounts for 2025 to avoid this in the future
