Retirement tax questions
Your daughter has to report her 1099-NEC on her own tax return. You cannot report it on your tax return. With income of $808 on a 1099-NEC she is required to file a tax return.
To enter the 1099-NEC in your daughter's tax return in TurboTax, go to Federal Taxes > Wages & Income. Under "1099-MISC and Other Common Income" click the Start button for "Income from Form 1099-NEC."
Your daughter was self-employed, or at least the business that she helped treated her as a contractor, not an employee. The 1099-NEC income will be reported as business income. If the $808 is her only income she will not have to pay any income tax, but she will have to pay self-employment tax.
