This problem I think came in the back door and caught everyone off guard..the states just want their taxes....
I suggest calling turbo tax helpline and suggest a software issue with this problem and they can help. I am assuming at this point its a technical issue.
Also you can delete the 1040 on turbo tax and start a new 1040..maybe it's just that simple....I am assuming you are using the online version and not a CD....
