Retirement tax questions

I forgot to add that I also reviewed our TTax program entries for 2023 taxes and the 'same' problem existed for that year's tax forms.  My spouse's health insurance was not included on the Schedule A medical deductions  total, the Med Summary or the 1099-R summary.  So there has to be some sort of programming problem that has existed for at least a few years, that for some reason only looks at the primary tax payer's 1099-R block #5 info.  Again, we take the Standard Deduction, so I didn't look at the Med insurance entries issue last year, but did see the problem this year.

So maybe TTax Programmers need to create a 'Test file' in an actual downloaded TTax program and enter two 1099-Rs and check for the issues.  Looking at a 'diagnostic TTax file' may not be the same - even though it should be.  It doesn't matter to me, but maybe some people actually use the Itemized Medical deductions,  instead of the Standard Deduction, so they should get all deductions reflected accurately.

Appreciate your time!
