Smart Check Errors - Why?
I'm using Turbo Tax desktop and when I entered 1099-R's for Fidelity and a KS state employee distribution, I selected IRA for the type of account.
I entered two 1099-R's for distributions form non-qualified annuities and selected OTHER for the type of account.
When I run smart check, it flags these 4 entries as errors, stating the "type of account should not be selected for this distribution".
For the Fidelity and KS distribution, the options are IRA, 403b or OTHER.
For the two annuities, the options are NO ENTRY, IRA, 403b or OTHER.
I don't understand why these are errors? Is there something wrong in Turbo Tax?
