Turbo Tax is asking me this year (never has before) what was my 2024 IMRF pension RMD amount, and did I satisfy it by Dec 31, 2024.
Some details
- I turned 73 this year
- I receive a fixed amount income deposit from my IMRF pension each month.
- Each year there is a calculated increase to the monthly amount.
- IMRF is a Pension, not an IRA, not a 401K, and not a 403B plan
- IMRF did not send me any 2024 RMD requirements
- I don't believe that I even have any recourse to request any additional funds from my IMRF pension.
- What do I enter on the 1099R for the RMD questions?
