I have 2 IRAs held at 2 separate institutions, both requiring RMDs. As allowed by law, I took the combined RMDs from 1 account, thus only 1 1099-R reflecting the correct (total) RMD for both accounts. The follow-up questions in Turbo Tax make no sense...how do I correctly enter this? I have been using TurboTax for many years, and I have to say they have made a straightforward (and common) situation unnecessarily complex and confusing.
