Retirement tax questions

I just want to make sure I got this right.... I can enroll in a family HDHP through work, contribute to an HSA that covers my wife's medical expenses. Meanwhile she is retired, collecting Social Security, and is enrolled in Medicare Part A.
Do I have this right?
Correct. Your eligibility to contribute is controlled by your medical coverage, and your spouse's coverage does not change your eligibility. Then, once you have funds in the HSA, you can use them for qualifying care for yourself, your spouse or your dependents, regardless of what other kinds of medical coverage they have.
