Retirement tax questions

So since tax transcripts are available for the current tax year and up to 10 prior years this does present an issue.

This is really a question for the Social Security Administration though.   To seek correction of information related to individual records, benefits, or earnings, please call them at 1-800-772-1213.  The issue here is this:   Time Limit for Correcting Earnings Records There you will find this:  "An earnings record can be corrected at any time up to three years, three months, and 15 days after the year in which the wages were paid or the self-employment income was derived. “Year” means “calendar year” for wages and “taxable year” for self-employment income. If the last day of that period falls on a Saturday, Sunday, legal holiday, or other non-work day for Federal employees set by statute or Executive Order, the period for correction is extended to the end of the next work day."

So unfortunately, it would appear that the Social Security Administration will not correct at this point.  I am sorry about that.

Thanks again for the question  @wendy8

All the best,
