How do I handle/report a MISSED RMD? It was requested from the IRA holder; but they dropped the ball. Distribution done in Jan 2024 not in Dec 2023.

they provided a letter that it was their mistake and stated that should avoid the penalty. Do I do nothing with this until 2024?
