From095-A I must enter0 in ColB for 7mos since not qualified forPTC. 5mos OK. But TTdoesn't allow 0 &says enter in ColB the prem I paid . How to fix IRS vs TT conflict?
I wasn't qualified for 7 of 12 months because I started a new job & got Employer's insurance & still kept Marketplace insurance... BUT did NOT advise Marketplace (ACA) of this in 2023. I kept paying my monthly premium for the Marketplace insurance (while also having my employers insurance). Per IRS Form 8962 Instructions, I went to Healthcare.gov/tax-tool to get a revised 1095-A which showed the original correct SLCSP in Col B for 5 mos. and the correct blank $ for the other 7 mos. that I had dual insurance. I don't understand why TurboTax would show in the drop down screen that for column B to enter all amounts paid by the due date of the return even if Form 1095-A shows a -0- as the enrollment premium for that month. In addition, If you respond that I should still follow the TTax instructions, for the 7 unqualified months, do I enter the actual monthly premium I personally paid to the insurance company ... OR do I enter the original higher $ amount of the SLCSP (Second Lowest Cost Silver Plan)? Thank you.
