Form 1099-S is used to report proceeds from the sale of real estate or property transactions.
To enter the 1099-S Form, log back into TurboTax.
- Select Wages & Income.
- Scroll down to the section titled Investments and Savings.
- Select start to the right of Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other (1099-B).
- Select the box +Add investments
- On the "Let's import your tax info" page, select Enter a different way.
- The next screen is titled "OK, let's start with one investment type". Select Other (land, second homes, personal items) 1099-S.
- Proceed to answer the questions as prompted.
