Yes, if you are seeing an entry that is not on your copy of Form 1099-G, you need to go back and correct the amount that you entered before.
Here's how to do that in TurboTax Online:
- Sign in to TurboTax.
- Select Income and Pick up where I left off.
- Select the down arrow to the right of Other Common Income.
- Select Start to the right of Other 1099-G Income.
- Answer the first question Yes.
- Enter the information from your 1099-G.
- Continue until you get to Tell Us About Your Government Payment.
- Change your entry for box 9, at the bottom. Leave it blank, don't enter $0.
