Retirement tax questions
You won't receive a Form 1099-R for a trustee to trustee transfer from one IRA to another. It's not considered a distribution and you don't have to report it on your tax return.
You would have received a Form 1099-R with distribution code G, if you had a trustee to trustee rollover from an employer qualified plan to an IRA.
