The IRS is clearly stating that my situation needs to be reported. Neither of you should be saying that this doesn't need to be reported.
Turbotax says I can use an end of year statement. Everything I read online validates this. I simply asked where to input this information and instead it turned into incorrect tax advice.
This entire experience has been enough for me to no longer use turbotax after years of using them. This is the worst experience I have had with "help" from any company.
