Retirement tax questions

Thanks for your questions, @Zbig ! However, I can only answer one of them.

1) "I would like to know how we can receive our monthly Social Security benefits while living abroad (Canada)." This is not a tax question, but a question for Social Security. You would need to contact them

2) Your Social Security may be partially taxable in the US depending upon how much other income you have. If your MAGI exceeds $32,000 if Married Filing Jointly ($25,000 otherwise), then your Social Security may be partially taxable. Your MAGI is defined as 50% of your Social Security income plus 100% of your other income. This TurboTax article goes into more detail.

3) My apologies, but as a US tax expert, I cannot speak to the tax implications in Canada.

Hope this helps, please let me know if this raises any additional questions!
