Marilyn227 mentioned that her mother was taking RMDs from the account, implying that it was not a Roth IRA.
Under the 10-year rule there are no annual beneficiary RMDs from an inherited Roth IRA because the decedent is deemed to have died before their required beginning date for RMDs (because Roth IRA owners are not subject to RMDs).
