Retirement tax questions
If you're younger than the minimum retirement age, the taxable amount of your disability pension is reported as wages on your tax return, and it's considered earned income.
Once you attain minimum retirement age, the taxable disability pension will be treated as a pension, and won't be considered earned income.
Please see the TurboTax Help article Is my disability pension considered earned income? for more information.
