Retirement tax questions
In TurboTax CD/Download Home and Business, are you able to remove the form by:
- Click on Forms in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Select the form 8615 and click Delete form at the bottom of the page.
However, if the form re-generates, that means that there is an entry in the software that needs to be removed or changed.
If this is the case, return back to the point in the software where the questions that populate the form are asked.
- Across the top of the screen, select Personal.
- Across the top of the screen, select Personal Income.
- Select I'll choose what I work on.
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security.
- Select Start / Update to the right of IRA 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals.
- At the screen Did you receive any 1099-R forms, select No. Click Continue.
- At the screen Did you take a disaster distribution at any time between 2018 and 2020? answer Yes.
- At the screen Did you take a 2020 Qualified Disaster Distribution, remove all of the entry information.
Run the Review again to see if the error has cleared.
