Thank you for your response. First of all, I should have mentioned that I used the CD version of each year's TT. Your response seems to indicate that I did my taxes online. Also, even though I was not logged in at the time and followed the instructions, I still encountered a circular login process, which eventually seemed to take me away from even being able to view whether I would have created multiple accounts but to a "pay for help" page.
Is there an example of my situation happening in the CD version? I have not seen this before and thought it might be because I amended the 2019 return. I expected to see just one entry for 2019. The second entry has the symbol "~" in front of it. What does that mean as TT would allow me to click on either? I was not expecting that, so I didn't want to click on either before posting my question. Both have the same date.
