Retirement tax questions
Do you mean Investment Income? If so, in TurboTax Online, follow these steps to enter an investment transaction on an IRS form 1099-B.
- Down the left side of the screen, click Federal.
- Down the left side of the screen, click Wages and Income.
- Scroll down to Investments and Savings. Click Show more to the right.
- Click Start/Revisit to the right of Stocks, mutual funds, bonds, other.
- At the screen Your investments and savings, click Add investments.
- At the screen Let's import your tax info, click Enter a different way.
- Click on Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds. Click Continue.
In TurboTax CD/Download, follow these steps:
- In step-by-step mode, across the top of the screen, click Personal.
- Across the top of the screen, click Personal Income.
- Select i'll choose what I work on.
- Scroll down to Investment Income.
- Select Start / Update to the right of Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other.
- At the screen Did you sell investments in 2022, select Yes.
- At the screen Did you get a 1099-B, select Yes.
