Retirement tax questions
Pre-tax contributions to your 401(k) must be made through payroll deduction. Matching 401(k) contributions are the additional contributions made by employers, on top of the contributions made by you.
As Catina mentioned, If it is an employer contribution, there is nothing to report.
Your contribution are reported on your W-2 box 12 code D : Contributions to your 401(k) plan (including a simple 401(k) plan).
