If you’re trying to enter your Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) in TurboTax CD/Desktop:
- Select Federal Taxes in the banner
- Select Wages & Income
- On the How do you want to enter your income? page, select I'll choose what I work on
- Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security, and select Start to the right of Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)
- On the Did you receive Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits in 2022? page, answer Yes
- On the Tell us about the benefits you received screen, select the checkbox to the left of Social Security benefits (Form SSA-1099)
- Enter the information as reflected on your Form SSA-1099, then select Continue
