When you answer No, TurboTax silently deletes your basis in nondeductible traditional IRA contributions. You'll have to reenter your basis. If after doing so TurboTax prompts you for an explanation of an adjustment to your basis, to get you basis back properly you'll need to clear you tax return as start over in the online version or begin a new tax return in the CD/download version.
