Retirement tax questions

In order to verify that the amount you received as a reimbursement for long-term care is not taxable, you must include the cost of the care for which you were reimbursed.  Otherwise, the distribution from the long-term care contract is considered to be taxable income.  

 

You do not need to enter the number of days of care if it was not a per diem contract, only the cost of the care.
