Thanks Ernie. I had seen these on the CO site. What is unclear is whether any of my federal taxable SS income can also be subtracted. I could not find any thing that explicitly puts a cap on the total, and I do not currently have confidence in TT entry and calculation as it does not accept the over 65 military exclusion entry automatically.
