When you enter your 1099-NEC TurboTax prompts you with questions about your business before it takes you to the summary screen to enter expenses. You may need to go back to your Schedule C information to ensure everything is completed.
To do this in TurboTax Online you can follow these steps:
- Open or continue your return in TurboTax
- Search for self employment income (use this exact phrase, don't add a hyphen) and select the Jump to link at the top of the search results
- Click Edit for the line of work you want to review
- Click Edit for the General Info section
- Make sure each section has been completed
