Retirement tax questions
Been there, done that. Did as you asked but NO change. While entering data for Colorado everything seems to function normally and the program calculates (and displays at the top of the screen) a tax amount owing to Colorado of $46.00. However, in the Review Process, Summary Screen, it displays Federal Tax Due and Montana (MT) Tax Due figures but makes no mention of Colorado (CO). I have done this same routine - Federal, Montana resident, Colorado non-resident - just like this for several years and have not experienced this discrepancy. Very frustrating. If it makes the complete calculation for Colorado and shows the correct amount owing, why would it then choose to ignore that in the Review and Filing process? I can find no discrepancy in the data that I have entered. I am retired so there is no W2 data, but that has been the same for all of the years that I have filed this way, so I can't think that has any linkage.
