Retirement tax questions

Form 8915 is used to report a disaster-related retirement distribution, and any repayments of those funds. For tax years 2021 and 2022, Form 8915-F will replace Form 8915-E, which was the form used to report 2020 COVID-related qualified disaster distributions.

 

The payment of a coronavirus-related distribution to a qualified individual must be reported by the eligible retirement plan on Form 1099-R, Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit-Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contracts, etc.
