Retirement tax questions

@Mikemonica since you are concerned with the IRMAA premiums, MAGI is simply your adjusted gross income (line 11 of Form 1040) plus tax exempt interest income

where are you getting $182,000 from?  That was the 2020 income limit that avoided 2022 IRMAA if you are filing joint.  Your income in one year is used to determine IRMAA impact two years later.

for 2021, an income limit of $194,000 avoids IRMAA in 2023

for 2022, assuming NO INFLATION for the next 9 months, an income limit of $202,000 will avoid IRMAA in 2024. if inflation exceeds 0%, the income limit will be slighly higher than $202,000. (an inflation rate of 5% for the nexst 9 months will yield an income limit of $206,000)

see this website - it very informative and instructional on IRMAA.  You'll see where I got my numbers from.
