Retirement tax questions
The Additional Medicare Tax withholding would come from Form 8959 line 24.
One note of caution, if you accidently entered too much Medicare tax withholding when you entered a W2 form, you might see this entry, but it would be an error.
I recommend checking all of the W-2 forms entered on your tax return. check box 6 to make sure it matches your copy.
To review your W2 forms:
- Select Federal on the left side menu.
- Select Wages and Income toward upper left.
- Click Edit to the right of Job (W2).
- Keep going until you get to the screen, Now let's update the rest.
- Check box 6 for accuracy.
- Repeat with all of your W2 forms.
