Retirement tax questions

No, you should not have to completely redo your return.   Before you change the order of the names, how have you filed in the past?   If you have filed your returns in the past, with your husband's name first, then changing the order back to how you have filed in the past should not be a problem.   However, if you have not filed your return in the past with your husband's name first, then changing the order could cause your return to be ineligible for e-file.    If this is the first time you are filing a return together, then you can switch the order.

To switch the names around, go to the Personal Information section of your return.  Click on "Edit" next to the first name on return and change the name, date of birth, and social security number.   Then go to the spouse's name and click on "Edit" and change the name, date of birth, and social security number.
