It's 2022 now and I forgot in 2021 to report my taxable 2020 conversion of Traditional to Roth IRA. Instead of 2020 amendment, can I file as though conversion was 2021?
It's 2022 now and I forgot in 2021 to report my taxable 2020 conversion of Traditional to Roth IRA. Instead of 2020 amendment, can I file as though conversion was 2021? I've ran the cases through Turbo Tax 2020 and 2021 and I would owe exactly the same amount to fed and state either way. Just trying to avoid the extra headache and stacks of paper, certified mail, etc of filing a 2020 amendment. Thanks
