Before you enter your SEP IRA contributions, first make sure you've entered your self employment income. This allows TurboTax to calculate the maximum amount you're allowed to contribute to your SEP IRA.
Where do I enter my SEP IRA contributions?
To view the calculation worksheet:
- From the left menu select Tax Tools then Print Center
- Select Print, save, or preview this year's return and follow any additional instructions.
- Choose the "all the worksheets" option
- Search for the Keogh, SEP, and SIMPLE Contributions Worksheet and Look for Part III to see the SEP contribution calculation.
