No, these two forms are not the same. 

Form 1099-B: Proceeds From Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions

Taxpayers receive Form 1099-B from their brokerage account if they traded stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or other types of financial assets.

 

Form 1099-S: Proceeds From Real Estate Transactions

This form is used to report the sale of exchange of real estate.
