Retirement tax questions

If all of your contributions have been made to the same IRA at the same financial institution, you may be able to see your total contributions online if you can access that account.

Otherwise, you may need to go back through some account statements or your previous years' tax returns to determine your total contributions and whether they were deductible or non-deductible.  Form 8606 will be included with tax returns that included a non-deductible contribution to a Traditional IRA.  Form 1040 will show any deductible Traditional IRA contributions.
