Retirement tax questions

You can hand write a copy for your recipient if you want, but if the NEC-1099 prints off fine then you should send that to your recipient.  As long as it shows tax year 2021 it's fine. There is no concern for handwritten to the recipient and the filing through Quick Employer Forms (QEFs) to the IRS and/or state.

 

Likewise you can choose to copy one of the forms you do print off for the recipient.
